Who can attend the Rotary International Convention?
Registration is open to anyone interested in Rotary.
Are interpretation services available at the convention?
Rotary provides interpretation in several languages for the opening ceremony, general sessions, and closing ceremony. Most breakout sessions are conducted in English, but some may also be offered in other languages. Refer to your program book to see which sessions are available in your language.
When and where is the Programs for Young Leaders Preconvention?
This Preconvention will take place at Fira Barcelona Gran Via on 26 June. Join us for a dynamic, one-day experience designed for current and prospective participants, leaders, and alumni of Rotary’s youth programs — Interact, Rotary Youth Exchange, and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).
What is the temperature in Barcelona in June?
In June, average temperatures range from 69-80 degrees Fahrenheit (20-27 degrees Celsius).
Because the venue is air-conditioned in certain areas, you may wish to bring a light jacket or sweater.
Registration
How do I register?
Those interested in attending the convention can register themselves and their guests online, which is the preferred method. You can also register at the convention, though ticketed event availability may be limited at that time.
If you plan to attend preconvention events only, without attending the full convention, you must send using a paper registration form. Be sure to indicate on the form that you are registering for the preconvention only. Send the completed form by fax or mail to RI Registration Services.
What are the registration fees?

What is the cancellation policy?
A $50 processing fee applies to each registrant who cancels within the same registration. Requests to cancel registrants or Rotary-ticketed events must be received in writing by 30 April 2027. Registrants who cancel after the deadline will not receive a refund. In cases of force majeure, refund requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis, and all approved refunds will be minus a $50 processing fee. Registration fees and ticketed event fees will not be refunded on requests received after 30 April, unless they are due to a visa denial. Cancellations caused by visa denials must be received in writing by 30 June 2027.
Cancelling via the online registration system is the preferred method, but you can also cancel by email at ri.registration@rotary.org or cancel by fax: +1-847-556-2194.
How do I register a guest?
You are welcome to add or remove a guest from your registration by using your My Rotary account. Click on the Register Now button to manage your existing registration.
You can also add or remove sessions, update any personal information, have an updated confirmation sent to your email address or, if necessary, cancel your registration.
If you experience any difficulties accessing your My Rotary account, please reach out to the Rotary Support Center.
Can I switch my Opening Ceremony assignment?
Assignments for the Opening Ceremony are based on the order of registrations are received. Unfortunately, we are not able to accept requests for a specific assignment.
I cancelled my registration. How can I re-register?
Unfortunately, once a registration is cancelled, it cannot be recreated online. If you wish to re-register, you will need to fax or mail the registration and ticket form.
The current registration rate will apply.
I lost or forgot my badge onsite at the convention. Can I get another one?
Yes, however there is a US$75 reprint fee for any lost or forgotten badges.
Housing and Transportation
How do I reserve a hotel room?
Booking your hotel through bnetwork, Rotary’s official local housing provider, provides convenient access to Barcelona hotels along with competitive rates.
To reserve your hotel online, visit Rotary’s official housing website through 28 May 2027 (availability is limited after this date). For support with housing-related questions, email rotaryhotels@bnetwork.com. Reservations are not accepted by email.
How do I change my hotel reservation, such as my arrival or departure date?
To make changes to your hotel reservation, please reference the instructions noted in your housing confirmation.
What hotels are available, and what are the rates?
To access the official housing block, visit the housing page. Availability changes often and we cannot guarantee your preferred hotel. If your first hotel choice is unavailable, we encourage you to reserve your next choice within the Rotary block. A waitlist option is not available due to the high volume of demand for the event period.
Do I need to pay a deposit for my room?
You will be required to pay a deposit when you book, by providing details for a credit card that’s valid through July 2027, or an ACH payment. Fifty percent of your stay will be required at the time of booking your reservation and initial payment. Please read all the noted details during the booking process. Reservations cannot be guaranteed without a credit card deposit. Payment schedules will be provided for each individual hotel at the time of the booking.
Group bookings of 10 or more rooms have separate deposit and cancellation policies which vary by hotel. If you are interested in a block of 10 or more rooms, you can visit Rotary's official housing website or email rotaryhotels@bnetwork.com.
How do I cancel my reservation?

How far from the convention center is my hotel?
You can find a map and a list of hotels on Rotary’s official housing website along with the proximity to the venue, Fira Barcelona Gran Via.

Transportation
What transportation is being provided?
Rotary will provide all full convention registrants with access to Barcelona’s public transportation system. This includes buses, trams, and trains (Metro) between hotels and venues. Select hotels may also have a Rotary-provided shuttle service.
Rotary also offers an accessible transportation service for attendees who utilize scooters and wheelchairs. This service operates between the official Rotary-contracted hotels and the venues.
Are there other ways to get around?
Taxis and rideshare services (such as Uber) are also available.
Travel
How do I obtain a visa for travel to the convention?
Go to the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, Unión Europea y Cooperación’s Conditions for entry into Spain page to find out who needs a visa, when to apply, and more. Visa information varies depending on your country of citizenship. Rotary International provides an updated list of convention registrants to consulates and embassies and requests that as many registrants as possible be granted visas, but whether or not to grant a visa is ultimately up to Spain’s government. Rotary International is unable to intervene on behalf of individual registrants.
